About Bianca:

Bianca moved to Canada as an international student in 2021 with her husband. She started her studies remotely in the Philippines during the Covid lockdown, where she also started volunteering as a student panelist, which helped her land her first on-campus job as an International Student Outreach Ambassador at Conestoga College when she arrived in Canada. She also worked part-time off-campus as a Remote Covid-19 Case Investigator. Her journey as an international student helped her overcome her anxieties. It also allowed her to step out of her comfort zone.

She is currently on her PGWP and is working as a Personal Banker for the Bank of Montreal. She also volunteers as a Junior Coach for Start2Finish’s youth leadership program to help children in Canada develop self-esteem and leadership skills. This is Bianca’s way of paying it forward because Canada has opened many opportunities for her and made her realize that she is stronger than she thinks.

"Studying at Niagara College online is a new experience to me. It helps me manage my own time using several tools like Blackboard calendar or MS Outlook. The teachers are accommodating and helpful especially to international students like me during this challenging time of pandemic."

Jennefer Millan

"Have an understanding and accommodating professors that are willing to answer my queries through email. They give advices on how to manage my time schedule in a week. Being a student at NC is challenging but proper time management and perseverance to learn new things will surely help you get through each semester."

Kareen Uy

"Additionally, various services are available to address the different needs of students. Also, going forward in the program becomes a lot easier and learning is more fun and meaningful as I build acquaintances along the way. Overall, I am having a great experience as a student at Niagara College."
